Onestop early voting, North Carolina
Onestop early voting in North Carolina runs for 17 consecutive days from Thursday October 16th
to Saturday November 1st. The voting schedule per county varies, please contact your local
county Board of Elections, or review the
State Board of
Elections (SBOE) informtaion.
Total number of NC registered voters as of 2008-10-30 is 6240175 of which an estimated 42.1 % have already voted at a one-stop location or via absentee ballot, please be part of this growing movement. Please aim to avoid the projected long lines on election day, Tuesday November 4th, 2008.
If I miss the regular voter registration period (before Oct 10), what can I do?
You can register AND vote early at the One-Stop voting locations.
You must bring with you valid identification (see above) showing your current address in the County that you live in.
NOTE: You must attend a one-stop early voting location in your county of residence, for example, if you live in Durham County
go to a Durham County one-stop location
What is early voting?
Early voting allows voters to vote at selected sites before election day. ALL voters have the option to vote early. The ballots will not be counted until election night.
Who can use it?
Anyone, you do not need an excuse to vote early.
When can I vote early?
Early voting polls will open from Oct 16-Nov 1. The typical schedule is below but please check with your local Board of Elections for specific times in your county:

If you use one-stop early voting
Your vote is cast, do not go to the polls on Nov 4th.
Absentee ballot
If you will be out of town on Nov 4th, you could also use an Absentee Ballot.
You can send the Board of Elections a written request for an absentee ballot from Sept 15 to Oct 28. Absentee ballot must be received by
the Board of Elections by November 3rd (5pm).
3) Flip the ballot and vote for the Democratic judges on the reverse side
